Jim, Jimmer, and Jimmest.

This morning Val, Anne, and I took a loverly trip to the local walmart to do a little grocery shopping...

And guess what.  Walmart has been struck with the sickness plaguing the country as well...
No, Not the Bieber Fever...
The JIMMER FEVER.

Their art skills with their boxes of Pepsi never cease to amaze me.

Go cougs. We slaughtered SDSU again today. And on their home court. That's what I'm talkin' about!!

Man I love my cougars.. :)

nom nom nom...

Funny how I can go for 12 hours eating nothing but a piece of bread, 3 graham crackers, and a chewy granola bar and still be living to tell the tale.

Oh wait, I lied. Thats not really all that funny.

I think the cause of my starvation may be attributed to my piggy back looking like this...

Also I decided that Chewy bars do not even count as food. Chewy bars go in the category of
"WARNING, you have to eat at least 4 of me to even feel like you consumed any kind of substance"
along with cereal and Cup O' Noodles (or is it Cup's O' Noodles??)

BUT I am going to treat myself to a foot-long sub today because I feel like it. And it will hold me till possibly 10 pm when I get to go home tonight. But mostly because Subway is awesome and ALL of their subs are 5 dollars this month. And February is almost over. Just taking advantage of the opportunity here people... that's all :)

All I do is dream of you.

Disneyland that is...
Yep. you got it!!! I went to California/Disneyland for my presidents day weekend!!! I decided to go Thursday morning and we left Thursday night! Talk about packing up and leaving!! But really, it was the greatest trip ever. I got to know people in my ward a lot better and made some great freindships. You really get to seee people in a new light when you are forced to spend 24 hours a day with them... Really though, going to Disneyland was the best decision ever and I  recommend doing it. It is the greatest. There are like 100 pictures that I love sooo If you want to see the whole adventure check Facebook for those. But for now I will post a few as an overview of the fantastic trip :)

Here's how it went down... Thursday night we drove to Vegas and then stayed the night at Aubrey's house. Then we woke up to some delicious pumpkin pancakes and headed to California.
First stop was the beach! It was sunny for about 30 minutes and then turned to cold and rainy. Soo we had enough time for some football in the rain and then we were so cold we had to leave...

 the group!!

then a group of us went hot tubing in Cameron's neighborhood while some others went to see the Angels Stadium..
it was fantastic... light rain and a massive hot tub = perfection

Then we all got together again and ate at the most delicious mexican resturant EVER. Acapulco. if you are ever in the LA area you MUST eat there. It is amazing.

Saturday was Disneyland day. Filled with so much laughter and happiness. I loved it. love love love

cute little maria :) i love her!

we were so prepared with ponchos! It's a good things too... because it rained and rained and was so freezing cold.

it's a small world

teacups

it was Bryce's first time ever experiencing the Disneyland!! I think he was just a litttle excited... :)

Sunday we went to the LA temple and the Getty museum.
this is the view from the top of the museum. Talk about amazing!

we felt inspired to be artistic...

basically it was the best trip ever.

thattts all!

grumbles

  • more things have broken in the Wilk lab today than any day in history I'm sure.
  • I left my meager lunch of gahram crackers and a granola bar at home... SO I am currently shrivling up inside from starvation
  • I am sleep-deprived and my voice is gone making people think I am struck with some sort of a plague and so they all look at me funny. Awesome
  • I need it to be Monday. Not Tuesday with a Monday schedule, but Monday. I need my Tuesdays... but this week the loverly day called Tuesday is getting skipped. Not okay.
  • It is almost 6:30 and my diet has consisted of a Mr. Goodbar and a Babe Ruth...I know I'll be suffering the consequences at my intermural game tonight. Oohh I can't wait.
  • All I really want to do is blog about my super fantastic weekend but I have to wait for the peeps who took all the pictures to facebook them so I can steal them. Mwahaha...
  • aaaand I can't think of anything else to complain about but I felt like this list needed one more bullet...
there you have it folks. Tuesday pretending to be Monday February 22, 2011

Disclaimer:
I really did have a great weekend I swear. And I swear I am a happy girl most of the time... But I am bored at work and feel like being a negative nancy. So you readers get to suffer the consequences of a post full of complaints. Lucky you guys.

Moral of the Story?
 Starvation + stress = complaints.

the end :)

I love Valentines day

Actually, I think I just love that it IS Valentines day.
Here's why:
1. people are happy and nice and say, "have a good valentines day!" It's like people telling you to have a good day... It's so great! Gotta love holidays making people be all cheerful all the time...
2. I don't have to start all my posts with "I LOVE" anymore. I felt like my blog is turning into a robot. No likey.
3. The roommates feel the need to make cookies! Yes yes, and yes. I am an advocate of any sort of baking in apt. 481.

the end :)

Now back to stuffing my brain full of American Heritage stuff and counting down the hours until I get to fill my stomach with yummy food.

Also! During this whole day of Valentines as I watch many people walk around with flowers or chocolate or balloons or whatever cheesyness their significant other gave them... I have had time to ponder what I would want on the one and only Valentines day. And here it is. I decided that once I have a Valentine he will present me with some sort of delicious food. Whether it is homemade, carry out, or at a restaurant... I won't care. As long as it's yummy and fills my stomach with much joy. Why? Because I love food and valentines day is all about the things you love. So food is a must have. Future Valentine, you better take notes :)

now the end for real.

Oh, and if you haven't heard this song yet... hear it now.

One last thing...
"I don’t understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine’s Day.  When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon..."

I love my sister.

Right now there is only one place I want to be.
No, not in bed...
In Arizona
at St. Joe's hospital
with T-ra ra. AKA the best sister on the earth.

I pretty much love her a lot and know that when they open up her skull they will find scar tissue from radiation. No, not a tumor, or an infection... but scar tissue. It's going to be great.

SISTER
It's like a best friend.... but stuck together forever :)

I love love songs.

Yep, it's real. I, Rachel Schlappi, love love songs. In honor of getting myself all festive for Valentines day I put together a Love playlist filled with sappy love songs. Ha, it's horrible and not a great idea. The more you listen to them, the more you love them and the more you love songs all about love, the more you wish you had it. So it's bad. But come February 15th I will stop this lovey dovey valentines madness and go back to my normal self who doesn't really care about any of this weird romantic crap. Uh huh. Then I'll go back to posting about things I really don't like and other meaningless stuff. I know, be excited....

I love Michael Jackson

Tonight on our way to go to the grocery store Val and I took a pit stop at her sisters house to grab a few things... and during in the middle of this little pit stop, we took a break and played a few songs of Just Dance, aka my most favorite game in the whole wide world... I know I have posted about my love for the game before so I don't need to go into that. Read my post from a year ago HERE
But, life just keeps getting better... this wasn't just any ol' just dance game, this was the Micheal Jackson version of the already amazing game!!!!
I know, unreal. And yes, it was as fun as it sounds

sometimes, it's just nice to take your mind off the super busy and stressful month you have ahead of you and do some crazy fun things. Like play Micheal Jackson Just Dance for instance. It was great. But now it is back to real life... History of Creativity, I'm gonna slay your test tomorrow.... just you wait!!!

I love my Mom :)

Today my mom and I spent the whole day together and I loved it. Seriously. We talked alllll about her high school and college lovers and it was wonderful. I suppose that I was a little brat in high school and never appreciated her enough or spent nearly enough quality time with her. I really missed out because she is incredible. Really, she is the greatest and I just love her a lot.
Today was a super great day :)
She's the besssst.

I love the sunshine :)

Really I do. Shadows are lame and cold and only cool when wanting to take artsy pictures that I don't even know how to take so therefore shadows aren't actually ever cool. (Yes, I know. I am great at English) But Also the sunshine brings warmth and happiness aaaand I love it. And I love running in the shadows to get to the sunshine and then walking. And I love it when BeckyLee and Ter join me in the bathroom because it is warmer in there than the rest of the hospital. And I love this random post. And I love spending all this time with my sister. Basically, she just is my other half. Really, how did I get so luckynoBLESSED with such an awesome sister?! I don't even know. But I'm tired and now I am starting to think about school for some reason and it is stressing me out. So I think I'm gonna head to bed before I start to worry about what to do for spring/summer and what to major in and alllll that life changing goodness.. Great Idea. And please don't hate on this post... because 50 years from now I am going to go back and read this stupid and rambling post and laugh at myself for being so weird. It's gonna be great. AND my husband is going to love this. Really. Future Husband, I can't wait to meet you... and see how you react to how weird I am. It's okay though. Because you will love me and I will love you. I better end this post before it gets anylonger... really, I thought it would end at the "I'm gonna head to bed" part. And then the "50 years from now..." part. But alas, here I am. Still rambling.

And it all started with how much I love the sunshine :)

I hope everyone had an amazing day like I had. Yep, I sure hope so :)

I love Glozell.

No, I'm serious. Meet Glozell. Glozell makes my life so happy. And I love watching her with my favorite sister T. She just makes us laugh and laugh... If you have never heard of her, look her up on Youtube PRONTO. Serious. And my absolute, all time favorite is the Nad's Hair Removal one. Watch it, you won't regret it. Promise.
No, you know what? Just for you I am going to put that video in this post... just for all you people who will forget and miss out on the best video of all time.

And you know what else I love? Being home. Right now. With my sister. I'm thinking a big post will have to be dedicated to this weekend once it is all over. But tonight we had a blast going to Nate's 9th grade basketball game. I love him.

And now I am finishing off my wonderfully long, but still wonderful, day off in my amazing bed. With the fan on. I think I mentioned over Christmas break how much I miss having a fan. But yes, I miss that. And having a big bed I can spread out on :) It's oh so great!

Also, if you now love Glozell, go watch more of her videos. My favorites are
1. NAds hair removal
2. Tik Tok Translation
3. You shouldn't laugh at God's people...
and
4. My push up bra will help me get my man

Don't judge the videos by their titles. Because they seriously are HILARIOUS. I love them.

I love...

So I definitely cannot think of something I love about today. It's just been one of those days I suppose...

From 10 am to 10 pm I have only ONE hour where I do not have anything scheduled. But, in that hour I have a boat load of crap to get done.
Like, find my phone
Yeah I think I have a special talent for leaving things places.

For example:: My iClicker, or my wallet on the side of the road, and now my phone.
I would lose it on only  the busiest day where I need it most!
Fabulous.
(UPDATE:: Great News!! My American Heritage professor has it!! Now if only I could track him down...)

But you know... today is just one of those days! And as of 5 minutes ago it just got ten times busier. I now have to do my laundry AND pack tonight! Apparently my flight leaves at 6:30 in the MORNING not tomorrow night! Crap. I was planning on having 5 hours with nothing to do but homework and pack tomorrow...

Oh well, I am stoked beyond all get out to go home and you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be super happy posts coming your way soon because I am going have the BEST WEEKEND EVER!

Ohhh it's going to be warm, and beautiful. And I am going to be with the people I love most :)
I can't wait!!!!

I love Ice Cream

So in honor of it officially being February I decided that until Valentines day I'll start off my posts with something I love. Great idea Me! So as I started this post I was thinking about something I love... and excluding my family and the gospel and all those great things, Ice cream is definitely my number one love.
Yep.
Well here comes another Valentines day! I don't think I would consider myself to be one of those single people who is a huge hater on Valentines day, but then again I'm not a huge lover of it. It's a good holiday, of course! Lots of candy and cookies... :) I love that! But it's also not one of my favorites either. And maybe that just because I have never done anything special on Valentines day? Probably once I have a super handsome husband or some sort of boyfriend I will love it, but until then... I'll just stick with being neutral. Switzerland.
But for all you lovers out there, I hope your valentines month is just the greatest thing that ever happened to you!! And for the rest of you... I hope it is filled with a plethora of parties, cookies, and well of course Ice Cream!!! :)
