I never thought i would say this but i do. It has a whoole new meaning!
Labor day is no longer the day where the family wakes up at 6 a.m. to do yardwork in the 115 degree weather until 1 in the afternoon.
Labor day is no longer the day where I clean the whole house in preparation for a borbeque with another family.
For labor day I slept in, cleaned my dorm room, ate crappy food, and then helped out the grandma out with some things. It was great.
I love college.
I hope Nate is having fun doing all the yard work. I really feel bad for him
And today i already got all my homework done for tomorrow and I have a class in... shoot, half an hour.
Anyway sorry my blog is turning boring. Nothing super exciting is happening!
But that will all change soon.
I hope.
ps, have a beautiful day!
one of my very best friends told me this while i was maybe complaining a little about how I haven't really made any new friends up here!
"Make them feel like they're important and they'll think you're important"
isn't that great?
anyway,
go out, have a wonderful day, and make people feel important!

True, true - you may have to be the one reaching out instead of the other way around.
Our Labor Day schedule (just for the record!) Yardwork 6:30 to 9:00; breakfast, then helped Tara & Josh move furniture around, then Dad shopped for a large screen TV all the rest of the day so the rest of us were free to do what we wanted. We did not clean the house for a BBQ with another family; and we did eat good food because we went out to Red Lobster with Tara & Josh on one of our gift cards.
So there. Glad you enjoyed your day and I miss you. Good luck today with freshman mentoring!!! Take them on!!
